Delightfully refreshing, this smoothie is packed full of antioxidants which are vital to health and wellbeing, and assist in preventing the onset of chronic disease. A single kiwi fruit contains more vitamin C than an orange, and studies have shown that eating kiwi fruit results in the highest absorption and metabolism of antioxidants.
1 kiwi fruit peeled
a 1cm thick cut round of pineapple
1/2 cup green tea cooled
1 teaspoon dark chia seeds
1/2 cup coconut water or coconut milk
Soak the chia seeds in the coconut water for twenty to thirty minutes (optional - see footnote).
Add all ingredients to the blender and mix until a smooth consistency is reached.
