Avocado hand cream

Avocados aren't only a very healthy food source - the the oil from an avocado can help improve the skin as well. Avocado oil is packed with vitamin E, which is important for skin health, and the oil can penetrate deep beneath the skin more effectively than some other oils. It is great as moisturiser and for softening the skin. You can easily make your own avocado hand cream to give your hands the nourishment they need.

Ingredients:

10g unbleached beeswax pellets
3 tablespoon virgin avocado oil
1 teaspoon lemon oil
3 drops grapefruit oil
3 drops tangerine oil

Instructions:

Melt the beeswax in a heat proof pouring jug over a pan of simmering water, then stir in the avocado oil until combined.

Remove from the heat and stir in the essential oils before pouring into a sealable container. If the hand cream starts to set while pouring, return to the heat briefly.

Wait for the hand cream to set and cool before using.
