Smoothies are a fabulous, no mess, no fuss breakfast option in the warmer months of the year. There are thousands of recipes out there, most of them based on milk or yoghurt; my smoothie recipes are all vegan, simple, and packed full of nutrients. The combination of banana and peanut butter is a marriage made in heaven.
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1 cup almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
1/2 teaspoon flaxseed oil
1/2 teaspoon hemp oil
Add all ingredients to the blender and mix until smooth.
Bananas that are over-ripe are best.
Bananas that going brown and won't be eaten can be cut up into pieces and frozen, ready to use in baking or smoothies.
The oils are optional; I don't eat seafood so use these oils to obtain essential omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids.
