With their iconic deep blue-purple colour, blueberries are considered to be one of the most nutritionally dense foods in our everyday diet.

Sweet, portable, and now widely available, blueberries are a great fruit to enjoy and make the most of.

It is best to save rinsing until just before consumption to prevent damaging their delicate bloom. For the best produce, choose firm, brightly coloured berries that move freely when shaken in their carton or package.

How to enjoy
Simply as is or frozen and eaten as a cooling treat.
Mixed into smoothies, yoghurt, cereals and porridges for a nutrient packed start to the day.
Mashed and spread over toast or crackers as a fresh jam.
Used in cakes, muffins, sweet pies or other pastries for a decadent dessert.
Either fresh or dried, tossed through with mixed nuts for a delectable trail mix.
