1 teaspoon dark chia seeds
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup almond milk (or milk of your choice)
1 cup mixed berries (any of your choice)
1/4 of an avocado (or 1/2 banana)
2 teaspoons cacao powder
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon of ground flaxseed
1 fresh pitted date or 1 teaspoon of honey to sweeten
Cacao nibs to garnish (optional)
Soak the chia seeds in the water for twenty to thirty minutes - this step is optional but the chia seeds will soften and take on a more gelatinous texture.
