Opt for these crispy healthy Kale Chips instead of potato chips as a late afternoon snack. They require almost no work and are budget friendly when compared to the store bought ones.
Ingredients 1 bunch kale
Juice from ˝ a lemon
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon ground sesame seeds
2 cloves of crushed garlic
1 teaspoon chilli powder
1 teaspoon Chaat Masala (powder)
˝ teaspoon sea salt
Cut out the stem from the centre of kale leaves.
Wash the kale leaves properly (making sure there is no soil left behind).
Usually this recipe needs a dehydrator but I didn't have one so I decided to use my handy oven instead. Once washed properly I left them to dry overnight on a tea towel so that all the water dries up.
Next tear up the kale leaves into big pieces as they will shrink once cooked.
Now mix all the dry ingredients together in a big bowl.
Toss kale leaves in the mixture and coat them with it using your hands.
Spread the leaves on a baking tray and bake on 50 degrees for two to three hours or till crispy.
