Easy home remedies to cure dandruff

Dandruff is a condition of the scalp that causes flakes of skin to appear in the hair, and leads to constant itching, hair loss, acne and eventually the lowering of ones self confidence. Dandruff can arise due to extreme exposure of heat and cold, hormonal fluctuations, and stress.

Here are a few easy home remedies for treating dandruff:

Camphor and coconut oil
Take 2-3 pieces of camphor and a bowl with 10 tsp of coconut oil. Put the camphor pieces in the oil and leave it overnight. You will get a nice fragrance. Apply it on the scalp, leave for 2-3 hours then wash your hair.

Basil Leaves (Tulsi) and Gooseberry (Amla) Paste
Basil leaves are famous for their healing properties. Take some basil leaves and wash properly. Grind it with gooseberry powder and make a paste. Apply this paste on the scalp and wash your hair gently after 30 minutes.

Lemon Wash
Take the peels of 4-5 lemons and boil in water for 15- 20 minutes. Allow to cool down, apply the solution to the scalp and wash it. You can repeat this activity at least twice or thrice in a week.

Aloe Vera Gel
Aloe Vera has antifungal and antibacterial properties. Apply the gel gently on the scalp, leave it for 30 minutes and rinse the hair. Repeat this activity at least thrice in a week.

Beetroot and Ginger Paste
Make a fine paste of ginger and beetroot, apply it on the scalp, leave over night and wash in the morning. You will notice that your hair looks softer and healthier.

These simple home remedies for dandruff are tried and true, try them yourself and notice the drastic change.
