Homemade lavender sugar scrub

When using this scrub in the shower, my skin feels smooth and hydrated. The scent has a calming effect making it ideal to use at the end of a busy day.

This sugar scrub is made with coconut oil which nourishes and hydrates your skin. It also has antifungal and antibacterial properties.

I have also used lavender which is not only a lovely scent, it has many beneficial properties. It can help you to relax and relieve stress as well as induce sleep. Lavender is also good for the skin. It prevents bacteria and aids in the healing of scars.

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Makes: 1 small jar

Ingredients†
1 cup organic extra virgin coconut oil
Ĺ cup sugar
1 teaspoon dried lavender (plus a small amount for decoration)
10 drops lavender essential oil

You will need
1 spoon
1 small bowl
1 airtight jar



Method†
Mix together the coconut oil and sugar. If the coconut oil is too solid, pop the bowl into a pan of hot water to soften it.
Add the dried lavender and the essential oil, mix well.



Transfer to your container and sprinkle some more dried lavender on top for decoration.



This would make an ideal gift. It's so quick and easy to make. The fact that it's homemade gives it that personal touch.
