I've long been a fan of making my own
homemade yogurt and as I often make a large batch, I've regularly got a bit left over which I can set aside for some quick beauty fixes.

This face pack features three main ingredients: yogurt, honey and banana. Yogurt is jam packed full of vitamins and minerals, which in addition to antibacterial agents, make it a perfect base for face masks that help to keep skin pimple free and fresh looking. For this particular face mask, I add honey to the mixture which is known for its moisturising and softening effects. The final ingredient is banana, which contains vitamin C and B6 for younger looking skin.
If you're seeking a cheap and cheerful face mask which is easy to make and fantastic for your complexion, this is a great choice.
Makes 1 x face mask. This mixture will keep for 2 days in the fridge if you want to make more.
Ingredients
1/2 a very ripe banana (mashed)
1 tablespoon of yogurt
1/2 tablespoon of honey
Method
- Combine all of the ingredients together in a small bowl until well mixed in. I use a fork initially to ensure that the banana is well combined with the yogurt.
- With clean hands, apply a coat of the face pack all over your face.
- Leave for about 15 minutes. The yogurt will dry on your skin in patches, and this is fine.
- Rinse with tepid water and a face cloth, but do not scrub. If you have any yogurt stuck on your skin use warmer water on your face cloth.
Stand back and admire your post face mask glow.
