How to fight bad breath naturally

The embarrassment of bad breath can entice us to use sugar and chemical laden breath fresheners which taste good and provide temporary relief, but which are likely to worsen the problem in the long run. You can fight bad breath naturally with the following alternatives.

Fennel seeds
Chewing on a few fennel seeds can alleviate indigestion, nausea, and freshen the breath.

Mint leaves
The classic remedy. Go for real fresh mint leaves rather the artificial kind pumped into commercial products.

Parsley
My personal favourite, fresh parsley freshens the breath and is also a nutrient powerhouse.

Homemade mouth wash
Try the incredibly popular homemade cinnamon mouthwash.

Tongue scraper
To help remove bacteria that causes bad breath from the tongue, try a tongue scraper.

Any one of these natural breath fresheners will be effective, and have the added benefit of being sugar and chemical free.
