If eyes are the 'windows to our soul', then eyelashes are the conduits. They draw attention to our eyes and frame them so well. But if you wear make up on a daily basis - in particular mascara,†itís likely your lashes have been pulled, rubbed, brushed, crimped and generally strained everyday. Itís no wonder they often fall off before they should.† So, itís time to give them give them a little TLC.

I used to use vaseline, straight out of the container, every night.† Although†it's incredibly moisturising, it is a derivative of petroleum and a possible carcinogen, something I was not really comfortable using near my eyes!† So now I use castor oil.
Castor oil is a vegetable oil that†is made from cold pressed seeds of the castor plant (Ricinus communis). It is rich in vitamin†E (a powerful antioxidant) and omega 6 fatty acids which are very nourishing and great for hair growth.
Example of Castor oil in eyeliner container
I apply the castor oil by first transferring some oil to a clean old eye liner container. I then use the applicator to ďdrawĒ a line of oil near my lash line (much like putting on eyeliner). I then use my ring finger to spread the oil on my lashes as well.
Careful you don't get any in your eyes, it's going to sting! I do this every night before†I go to bed. Do this every night for six weeks you should see some results, at the very least you will be giving your lashes that much needed TLC.†
Remember though, this treatment only maximises the potential length and thickness of your lashes.† If you were born with not much lashes or none at all, there is the option to see your doctor for prescribed medication (yes, this exists).
