Kefir: A probiotic powerhouse

Probiotics are helpful bacteria found naturally in the body and are good for digestive health. Probiotics can also be found in some foods and supplements.

Kefir is one of those probiotic foods to incorporate into your daily diet for optimal health. Kefir is a fermented milk product and one of the most probiotic rich foods. It is tart and tangy, easy to drink, and extremely healthy for you. It has the consistency and taste of drinkable yogurt.

The origin of kefir dates back to Eastern Europe over 2000 years ago and has been used since to treat a wide variety of ills, as well as for daily nutrition and gut health. Kefir is high in calcium, vitamin D, vitamin A, and protein. It also contains magnesium, vitamin K2, biotin, folate, enzymes and those helpful probiotics.

Kefir boasts many health benefits including:

3. Use it as a dip for fruits
