We all want to look good and feel great, but let's face it, maintain your hair, skin and nails can be expensive. So, here are a few tips on keeping those lovely locks glossy and that skin glowing.
#1 MAKE UP REMOVER
Don’t spend money on expensive make up remover. All you need is oil: evening primrose oil (for eyes) and grape seed oil for skin.
For the face, just smear about two teaspoons of grapeseed oil on your face, leave for a minute and wipe off with a cotton pad and presto! The make up wipes right off, no scrubbing, no harsh abrasives and less stress on your skin.
For the eyes, puncture open an evening primrose pill, use the finger next to your pinky finger to dab the oil on your eye lid (one pill for each eye) and wipe off with a cotton pad. This method is really good, especially for the delicate eye areas. Try it, you'll be surprised with the results.
#2 BODY MOISTURISER
You can easily boost the effectiveness of your favourite body moisturiser by adding a few drops of vitamin E. Vitamin E is a
powerful antioxidant and is great for smoothing the skin. That's why so many moisturisers claim that they contain vitamin E but they don't tell you how much. In fact, it might be one of the last ingredients listed on the packet!
Don't be fooled and save yourself some money by adding 15 drops of vitamin E oil per 100ml of body moisturiser, add some water to increase the absorption rate and you will wake up with softer and smoother skin.
#3 FACIAL SCRUB
To gently buff away the dead skin cells on your face to make it truly shine, first, blend some oatmeal in a blender. Add some warm water to a teaspoon of the blended oatmeal, wait a minute and apply to your face. For best results use a cotton pad to evenly spread the oatmeal around your face, leave it for two minutes if you want a mini facial or wipe off straight away with the cotton pad. Tada! Glowing skin and you haven’t broken the bank.
#4 HAIR CONDITIONER
For healthy, soft, glossy hair, just add five drops of rosemary essential oil to 100mls of water and spritz on dark hair after shampooing to increase blood circulation to the scalp and maintain healthy shiny hair from the roots to the tips. For blonde or light coloured hair use chamomile instead.
I hope these tips help, they've certainly helped me maintain my hair and skin without spending a fortune.
