Lemon used as cleaning agent.
Lemon has antibacterial and disinfectant properties. It can be used as a stain remover on counter tops, bleaching agent on clothes, grease or oil remover on dishes, and shining agent on metals.
Baking soda Baking soda is used to scrub surfaces and is great as a deodoriser. A paste of baking soda can be used to clean the oven. Apply the paste on the bottom of the oven, leave it for a few hours and wipe it off for a clean, shiny oven.
Not many of us know that Coca Cola can be used as a natural cleaning product. Use to clean the toilet and tile floors, remove rust from batteries, remove oil stains from garage floor, blood stains from fabric/clothes and stains from carpet. It's also an effective jewellery cleaner - simply soak your silver, gold or brass in a bowl of Coca Cola (plain jewellery only, no stones or jewels).
Black tea is an excellent mirror cleaner as it brings shine to the glass. Take a clean piece of cotton fabric, soak it in the black tea, rinse and clean mirror.
Vinegar Acts like an all purpose cleaner. Take equal amounts of vinegar and water and mix well. The solution is used as a general household cleaner. Vinegar is also great as a deodoriser and natural disinfectant.
