Oatmeal is a great thing to eat for breakfast because it boosts you energy and it fills you for hours as it is slow digesting - so it can keep you going until lunch.
Oatmeal protects the skin, supports weight loss and prevents diabetes between other cool stuff, so it’s a great thing to include in your diet.
This recipe is really simple, it’s what I like and I eat most of the time for breakfast.
Ingredients
150 g of rolled oats
250 ml of almond milk
20 g of sliced coconut or coconut flakes
Berries
A drizzle of agave syrup
Chia seeds
Method
In a small pot add the oats, agave syrup and milk and cook for 5 minutes on medium heat. Pour it onto a plate and arrange the berries on top, the coconut and the chia seeds.
If you have frozen berries, add them to the pot and cook them for 5 minutes with the oats. You don’t have to thaw them. Serve the oatmeal with a cup of coffee or tea. :)
