Some people come by it naturally. Others struggle with it. But one thing for sure, your life can be easier and less stressed if you are organised.
A pegboard for your tools!
It takes a bit of planning, knowing what you want to do, where you need to go or what you want to accomplish. With just a little bit of planning you can keep calm and get done what you need to get done, without causing yourself a lot of stress.
Planning is key, one word, big impact. Make lists, things don't get forgotten this way. Use a calendar or day timer, the memo board in your phone. Lists are the livelihood of some people, things written down make life easier to plan.
Decluttering your desk can be freeing!
On Monday when you need to get a thousand things done do you start to panic the night before? Does it bring tears to your eyes to know you have so much to do with limited time? Do you have lunches to make, everyone to get up before you even start your own day?
Maybe get up a little earlier, giving yourself a bit of alone time with a coffee sitting quietly in the sun. This little piece of time gives you benefits that could last all day so you can keep on track.
Drawer organizers allow to you find things quickly!
Maybe you have more time on Sunday. You can set up a menu for the week, do one grocery shop and only have to pop in to the shops if need be. A couple of hours will do it, maybe watch your favorite movie while you are chopping veggies for school snacks, bagging them so they are ready to go. Buns can be frozen and thawed, ready to eat by lunch time.
Filling tiny spaces of time with little things you need to do can make you feel like you have accomplished a lot.
Are you standing waiting for your tea to steep or coffee to be ready? Why not empty the dishwasher while you wait?
Make things easier to put away!
How about keeping your keys in the same place all the time? They are handy, you know where they are and you can grab them and go instead of wasting time running around looking for them.
Keys are a breeze!
Keep your grocery bags, gym clothes, spare shoes tucked away in a bin in your car. They are there when you have an extra 30 minutes to go workout, walk or get your groceries on the run.
Map out your errand running. Can you get everything you need at the shopping center? Groceries, dry cleaning, that present for your child's teacher or flowers for your girl?
Cooking dinner? Preparing a recipe? As you use your ingredients put them away. You will know you have used them, there will be less clutter and cleanup will take less time.
How about putting dishes in the dishwasher right away when you use them instead of sitting them on the counter? You have eliminated a step and the counter is clean, not cluttered.
