Healthy Recipes (291)      Winter Warmers (31)
As winter well and truly sets in, it's important that we eat as befits the weather, and nourish our bodies with warming, seasonal foods. Here are some of our favourite winter breakfast warmers to get you started.

Oats are incredibly nourishing and have numerous documented health benefits; they can provide a quick and nutritious start to your day.

Crunchy Nut and Pear Porridge

Baked Rhubarb Porridge

Boost your iron levels, try an apple spice porridge, or, if oats aren't your thing, mix it up with the quinoa porridge recipe included here: Porridge Three Ways
Banana Quinoa Porridge

One of my absolute favourite starts to a cold day is Buckwheat Pancakes

For those who like a more hearty start to the day, or for those leisurely weekend breakfasts:

Vegetarian Hot Breakfast

Baked Eggs With Leek Asparagus and Parmesan

And this list wouldn't be complete without mentioning one of our favourite and most tasty cooked breakfasts - it's Jamie Oliver's Baked Eggs in Popped Beans. Best cooked on the weekend when you have a little more time to dedicate to a nutrient dense hot breakfast.

Enjoy, and stay warm and nourished!
