Prevent flu with this fresh turmeric pickle

The onset of winter brings with it colds ,flu, fever and many other aches and pains our body needs to constantly fight against.Turmeric has been known as a natural antibiotic and antiseptic in Ayurveda for many years. Recent studies have even shown that consuming turmeric can prevent cancer, leading to high sales of turmeric pills, turmeric oil, turmeric powder etc.This is a simple turmeric pickle recipe you can make at home from fresh turmeric that can be stored in the fridge for one week.



Ingredients
100 grams fresh turmeric (can be bought at any asian grocery store)
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons vinegar

Method
Wash and scrape the skin off the turmeric just like you would do for ginger.

Cut it into thin rounds.



Add salt and vinegar and mix with a spoon.



Store in a bottle and enjoy it with your meals.
