There are numerous tips and tricks out there which you can try to ensure glowing skin. But before your skin even gets to a radiant stage you might want to try the following new rules, which I stick by, to ensure model-perfect skin.
Everyone is different, and everyone has a different schedule to the person sitting next to them, but you'll find models and celebrities follow a set pattern of rules when it comes to their skin. Caring for your face, with these somewhat obvious but forgotten rules, might just give you the glow you're after.
The Long Game
Patience pays with skincare and you have to give a new product time to work. Whatever you use it will take about a month to show any difference, let alone an improvement. You must also take into account your skin condition, age and your skin type. So don't throw in the towel after three weeks if your skin has yet to show any difference. Give it another week or two, and you'll see a change.
Feed Your Skin
Skin needs a plentiful supply of nutrients to look and feel its best, so incorporate a rainbow of fruit and vegetables, quality protein and fatty acids in your diet. Avocados and olive oil are skin-loving good fats, and hemp is even better. Hemp oil is too delicate to cook with, but is a great accompaniment to salads - ensure it's kept in the fridge for freshness. Kale
is another skin-booster with a wealth of vitamins including A, B, C, E and K.
Sleep on it
While you're sleeping any perspiration or drooling goes directly onto your pillowcase, creating a breeding ground for bacteria. Try flipping your pillowcase upside down and inside out each night so that your face is hitting an untouched spot every time. When you wash your bed linen, put it on a hot wash and vacuum your pillow regularly.
You may already do all of the above, but it's unlikely when other things are considered more important than your face. However, if your money-maker is looking less than a little alluring, you might as well give this list a go. Try these three simple 'rules' and see whether your beauty regime pays off.
