This toothpaste has a bit of a salty taste and grainy texture, but you soon get used to it, and you'll be amazed at how much whiter your teeth look after just one use.

coconut toothpaste

Mix together equal parts coconut oil (solid) with bicarbonate of soda. (e.g. 1 tablespoon coconut oil to 1 tablespoon bicarbonate of soda).

I find using three tablespoons each provides a good size quantity that fits in a small tub, but doesn't need constantly replacing. Bicarbonate of soda is an abrasive ingredient, but not as strong as tooth enamel, so does not wear it away.
