Flaxseed (also known as linseed) - although tiny - pack an impressive nutritional punch. Rightfully called a plant 'superfood', flax have been around for centuries and are now widely available worldwide.

Rich in omega 3 fatty acids, fibre, calcium, magnesium and lignans, these seeds can be eaten whole, although are best absorbed when consumed ground.

To enjoy, stir into porridges and smoothies, atop salads and cereals, or mix into cakes, muffins, slices and breads, for a subtle nutty flavour.
