Quick Tip #17: Sunflower sprouts for health

Adding a handful of sunflower sprouts to your salad will provide protein, vitamins A, B complex, D, and E. They are high in essential minerals including calcium, potassium, magnesium, iron, zinc and folate.

Sunflower sprouts are a good source of lecithin which helps break down fatty acids and lower cholesterol. Particularly important for vegetarians and vegans, sunflower sprouts contain 25% protein, which helps to repair muscle tissue and support bone strength.
