What's the first thing you do when you get out of bed in the morning? Taking a mere five to ten minutes to do some simple stretching is a wonderful way to start the day and will bring many short and long term health benefits.

Wakes up and energises the body
Kick starts your bodily systems and gets things moving
Calms the mind
Enhances wellbeing
Improves circulation
Increases flexibility
Builds strength
Muscle relaxation
Stress relief
Increased ability for exercise and speedier recovery

Five minutes of your time each morning is a very small ask for a big payoff, give it a go and take note of the positive changes that occur. Stretch the whole body from head to toe, and if you don't know any stretches take a yoga class or Google 'morning stretches'.
