Dengue Fever is actually on the rise in Mauritius. With no known medical treatment, some studies have shown that this fatal disease can be cured the natural way. According to Dr Sanath Hettige, it can be treated the following way:

Using the young leaves of a young fruit bearing papaya plant (most preferably Red Lady papaya), remove the stalk. Wash the leaves well, crush with a mortar and pestle and squeeze out the juice. Drink twice daily for adult. Check the dosage here.

At the first signs of Dengue Fever, it is best to see your doctor first before using any alternatives.
