Cleaning the fridge and oven can become quite a horrible task even when using chemicals. Besides inhaling noxious gas, we also have to scrub hard to take the dirt off. Here is a tip which will make those tasks easier.

For your oven: Make a paste with 6 teaspoons of bicarbonate of soda with 2 teaspoons of water.

Apply the paste all over and leave to stand overnight. Using a soft damp cloth, wipe off the next day.

For your fridge: Add 1 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda in 1 gallon of warm water and wipe all over and inside the fridge.

You can increase the dose while keeping the 1:3 ratio. I use it mainly on the surface where I have to scrub a lot. I don't usually have my entire oven dirtied when cooking ;)
Hi Alia, your fridge cleaning tip is a good one, however how can a paste of 6 teaspoons if bi-carb to 2 teaspoons of water cover an entire oven?????

You can increase the dosage by keeping the ratio of 3:1. I use it mainly on the surface where I have to scrub hard.

I mean 'while keeping the ratio at 3:1....' instead of 'by keeping...'

Sorry
