Personal and Individual Differences journal has shown that the simple act of connecting with, and paying attention to our natural world enhances our sense of wellbeing.
Take a mere five minutes a day to step into your backyard, or local park or beach: walk barefoot on the grass or sand, and just focus your attention on your surrounds - the grass, a tree or flower, the sounds of birds or the whisper of the wind in the trees. No matter where you live, connecting with nature to enhance your wellbeing is within everyone's reach.
