This natural home remedy has the power to create astounding effects on burns of varying degrees. Rather than running to the cold water tap, or to the doctor for steroids, try applying some good quality ghee to burns. If the burn is quite bad you'll need to apply it two to three times a day.

Ghee is clarified butter. Used by Ayurvedic medicine practitioners as a medicinal substance it can be purchased from supermarkets, health foods stores and Indian grocers; or it can easily be made at home.
