Quick Tip #67: Deep conditioning for dry hair

A barrage of products, blow drying and the elements can leave our hair dry, brittle and damaged. For a full, deep hair and scalp conditioning, try the following.

Heat a tablespoon (more depending on length of your hair) of unrefined, extra virgin coconut oil, massage into the scalp and then all the way down to the tips of your hair. Wrap in a towel and leave on for as long as is practical - you can leave overnight if possible. Wash out as per normal with shampoo and enjoy the sensation of soft, healthy hair.

I have always had notoriously dry hair no matter what I do and since it is also very fine, I find that over conditioning can make it very limp and flat looking. Just conditioning the ends seems to work better and staying away from the scalp.
