Tongue scrapers are metal horseshoe shaped tools traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine. Here's why you need a tongue scraper.

Tongue scraper in action

A coating of harmful toxins and bacteria build up in the mouth and on the tongue overnight while we sleep. As long as we clean our teeth but neglect the tongue, those toxins and bacteria can cause bad breath, plaque buildup, gum disease, and be reabsorbed into the body.

Scraping your tongue first thing each morning before food or drink will remove the toxic coating leading to a cleaner mouth, fresher breath, and eventually, improved general health. Tongue scrapers can be purchased cheaply on eBay.
