A lot of people find that they leave the doctor's office feeling a little "let down". Like they didn't really get the answers that they needed to feel confident moving forward.

My #1 tip:

ASSERTIVENESS

Ensure you are seeing the right doctor for you

Research

List symptoms/concerns so you don't forget any

List questions

Take someone with you

Take notes

Ask for clarification in writing if necessary

Ask for a second opinion if you need

It's important to feel confident with your care plan - keep going until you are!
