Roasted Chickpeas

Craving a salty snack?

These roasted chickpeas will hit the spot and provide a healthy and satisfying alternative to chips or salted nuts.

Packed with fibre and protein, a serve of chickpeas will do your body good and keep your energy levels stable.

Ingredients
400g can chickpeas, drained, rinsed, pat dried
1 tablespoon olive oil

Flavour suggestions
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp ground cinnamon & 1 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp ground cinnamon & 1 tsp maple syrup
1 tsp ground coriander & 1 tsp ground cumin
1 teaspoon garlic powder & 1 tsp dried rosemary
1 tsp garlic powder & 1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp curry powder & 1 tsp ground paprika

Method

Preheat oven to 200C.



Spread chickpeas over a lined baking tray and drizzle with the oil. If wanting a savoury flavour, add the garlic here. Roast for 30 minutes, or until brown and crispy.



Remove from oven and toss with desired herbs and/or spices from the suggestions above. Keep in airtight jars or containers and enjoy warm or cooled.
