A sore throat can be extremely painful and debilitating. It can signal the beginning of a cold, virus, or at worst tonsillitis. Next time you have a sore throat why not try this homemade treatment, which I have found to be extremely effective.

It uses two common and easy to find ingredients, turmeric and Himalayan pink salt.

Turmeric is prominently used in Ayurvedic remedies for it's natural anti inflammatory properties and will help soothe the pain; while the salt will help to kill off any bacteria which may be lurking. Himalayan salt is also full of minerals and trace elements which can be beneficial to the body when fighting off an illness.

With just 2 ingredients you can make this natural sore throat remedy.

If you don't have any Himalayan salt on hand you can substitute sea salt but it won't be quite as effective.

You will need:

1teaspoon ground turmeric
1teaspoon Himalayan Salt
1 cup of warm water

Dissolve the above ingredients in the water and gargle the liquid at least twice a day. Make sure to spit out well after gargling.

Just mix in warm water and gargle.
