Bananas are possibly one of the easiest and most versatile foods to turn into a smoothie. They are packed full of fibre, vitamins B6 and C, potassium, magnesium and tryptophan. They are also low GI, making you feel full for longer and have the benefit of making smoothies taste sweet without adding sweeteners.
