When buying or renovating a home it is very important to keep in mind the rules of Vastu Shastra for the positive flow of energy. Vastu Shastra which literally means 'home science' in sanskrit is based on the laws of nature and was developed thousands of years ago.

If you ever visit old monuments and temples in India you will notice that they have been constructed on the principles of Vastu Shastra. These principles are observed to date by many believers when buying or constructing a house or a buliding. Vastu Shastra takes into account many environmental factors like the sun movements, earth's energy and magnectic fields, cardinal directions and topography of a site.To understand the science behind Vastu Shastra takes many years of practise and learning.To achieve the best Vastu for your home take some advice of an expert. Vastu principles can be practised in a home, office, building, garden or any place of dwelling for the health, wealth and prosperity of the occupants.

Here are some Vastu tips for your home:

Vastu for kitchen - kitchen should be in the south-east corner of the house.

Vastu for bedroom - remove all mirrors from the bedroom. If you have one then it should not face the bed.Vastu belives it causes ill health.

Vastu for study - Vastu believes the best position to study in is facing the east, north or north-east direction.

Vastu for home entrance - place bells or wind chimes at or near your gate. It is believed to bring in positive energy.

Vastu for home - The door of your house should not face south east. If it does then contact an expert on vastu remedies that can reduce the ill effect.

Vastu for sleep - avoid sleeping with your head in the northern and legs in the southern direction. The best position to sleep is head towards the east or west.

Vastu for garden - thorny plants must not be grown or placed in the house.Vastu believes it harms a relationship and creates tension between dwellers of the house.
