This may ruffle some feathers, but there is a theory that when you're feeling down or in a negative state of mind, it is NOT the time to do positive affirmations. Affirming that 'money flows easily and abundantly to me' when you are worried and stressed about finances is a vibrational mismatch. If you're worried, then you are in a place of resistance, and the affirmations will only serve to annoy you and create further resistance.
The best way to utilise positive affirmations is to first get yourself into a positive vibration and then affirm. Your affirmations are then a vibrational match for your state of being and can more easily be manifested, because like attracts like. You need to move into a space of allowing rather than resisting.
There are hundreds of ways to get yourself into a positive state of vibration and they will be different for everyone. It may be swimming, dancing, meditating, yoga, cuddles with your pets, gratitude, being creative, journalling, spending time in nature, or listening to music (check out our
