Bach flower remedies for self healing
Bach flower remedies use the essence of wild-grown flowers to heal the negative emotions associated with disease states. Devised by Dr Edward Bach (1886 - 1936) this holistic system of medicine heals the mind, body and spirit in a safe, natural and cost effective manner.

Moving from a career in orthodox medicine where Bach had become disillusioned with the medical model's methods of treatment and diagnosis, he turned to
homeopathic medicine and made valuable contributions to the field. From there, he used his considerable knowledge and wisdom to create a new therapy, with the aim of making it simple - both in its philosophy and its practice, enabling even the simplest of men to benefit from it without being overwhelmed by medical jargon or an encyclopaedia of complex medicines.
His system comprises thirty eight remedies made from a variety of flower essences, each remedy targeting a specific negative emotional state. Bach believed we build up layer upon layer of negative emotional states which manifest externally as disease states and symptoms. As a flower remedy stimulates a healing of each layer, we move closer and closer to our ultimate whole and healthy selves.

The remedies are also a wonderful aid in navigating difficult situations or transitionary periods in our lives, helping to balance the emotions where they may otherwise suffer and become volatile or imbalanced.
Bach succeeded in his quest to make the flower remedy system simple and user friendly - you don't need to consult a health professional to benefit from the remedies, you can
select your own remedy and purchase it online or at your local health retailer.
