Applecinnamon and strawberrybanana breakfast in a jar

You will never run late for work or school again with this fantastic time saving, and healthy concept. Why not prepare all your breakfasts for the week and keep them stored in jars until the exact moment you need to eat them? The sealed jar keeps the ingredients fresh for up to a week and it tastes totally amazing.

ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon coconut
  • 1 tablespoon coconut sugar
  • 2 tablespoons stewed or fresh fruit
  • 1/2 cup milk

  • Method:

  • Pour the yogurt into the bottom of a jar.

  • Start with yogurt

  • Next pour in a layer of oats, followed by a layer of chia seeds, a layer of coconut, a layer of coconut sugar (optional) and finish with a layer of stewed or fresh fruit (I used apple/cinnamon and banana/strawberry). Some other great breakfast in a jar combinations are blueberry/maple syrup, chocolate/banana, and honey/date/almond. Yum.

  • Add layers on top edible art

  • Next pour in the milk (almond, rice, soy or cow), but be careful not to over fill the jar as the ingredients will expand slightly overnight.

  • Pour in the milk

  • Seal each jar and place in the fridge overnight.

  • Ready to serve

  • Mix the ingredients together before tipping them into a bowl. You can eat this fantastic time saving, healthy breakfast hot or cold. Enjoy.
