Chakras Ajna
'Chakra' is a Sanskrit word meaning
'wheel' or
'disk', and is an integral thought in Ayurveda, meditation and yoga.
There are
seven main chakras in the body - from the
base of the spine to the
crown of the head - corresponding in location with major
nerve centres. These key points are believed to hold a
'vortex' of
subtle energy - ideally kept
free-flowing and in
balance.
Today we will look at the
third eye chakra,
Ajna.

Ajna is located between the
eyes, and is one of the three chakras of
spirituality. It is responsible for our
intuition and
perception.
Its colour is
indigo, and bija mantra is
Aum or
Sham.

Lack of clarity and/or vision.
An over-indulgence of fantasies and/or illusions.
Frequent headaches and/or migraines.
Problems with vision and/or feelings of dizziness.
To
balance the third eye chakra, try:
Any form of meditation.
Including a range of purple/dark-blue foods in your diet. Think blueberries, plums, eggplant, cabbage etc.
Yoga postures that bring your head to the floor, ie. child's pose, shoulder stands etc.
