Chakras Anahata
'Chakra' is a Sanskrit word meaning
'wheel' or
'disk', and is an integral thought in Ayurveda, meditation and yoga.
There are
seven main chakras in the body - from the
base of the spine to the
crown of the head - corresponding in location with major
nerve centres. These key points are believed to hold a
'vortex' of
subtle energy - ideally kept
free-flowing and in
balance.
Today we will look at the
heart chakra,
Anahata.

Anahata is located at the
centre of the chest, and is one of the two chakras of
relationships. It is responsible for
compassion and
connection.
Its colour is
green, and bija mantra is
Lam.

Imbalances in the heart chakra may manifest in:
Feeling hate towards yourself and/or others.
Manipulative behaviour and/or trust issues.
Poor circulation.
Problems with the heart, lungs and/or chest.
To
balance the heart chakra, try:
Giving someone a warm hug!
Releasing a grudge or letting go of something causing you pain.
Spread encouragement and positive feedback to family, friends and co-workers.
