DIY cold flu remedy

Posted 2016-11-11 by silvifollow
This is the second year we have used this flu remedy and it works really well for us. You can also use it outside of winter by adding a teaspoon to your regular cup of tea. I encourage you to use this remedy as each ingredient has multiple health proprieties.

GINGER

  • Highly effective against nausea
  • Anti-inflammatory properties
  • Can lower blood sugar
  • Treats indigestion
  • Reduces menstrual pain

  • LEMON

  • Aids indigestion and constipation
  • Helps with dental care: massaging the juice on the gums can stop gum bleeding
  • Hair care: applying the juice on the scalp can get rid of dandruff and hair loss
  • Helps reduce weight
  • Eases the pain of sunburn
  • Stimulates the metabolism

  • HONEY

  • Heals wounds and burns
  • Can treat seasonal allergies
  • Fights infections
  • Cold relief

  • Ingredients

1 organic lemon (because we use the skin as well)
    3cm of peeled ginger
    2-3 tablespoons of honey
A small jar with a lid

  • Wash the lemon and cut it into small slices. Peel the ginger and slice it as well. Add them both to a jar and add the honey.

  • In a few days, this mixture will be runnier, because of the juice from the lemon. Add 1 teaspoon of the flu remedy to your tea (chunks of lemon and ginger to your tea plus the liquid mixture), or add 2 teaspoons to make a tea out of this.
