However, it's so important to remember that when using essential oils on infants and children, it's essential to dilute one drop of the essential oil with a ½ to 1 teaspoon of an oil such as sunflower, almond or jojoba to lessen the intensity to sensitive skin.
These oils can also be used in the bath, just remember to stir the water before bathing.
Most importantly is to keep all essential oils out of your child's reach to prevent ingestion. Many pure essential oils are rather potent in their pure, non-diluted form and while a few drops shouldn't be life-threatening, it could be rather unpleasant to the stomach and digestive system.
Keep in mind with the below uses, always use a 100% pure essential oil. Never use synthetic as you can run into allergic reactions.

Colic: Combine 2 tablespoons of almond oil with one drop of chamomile, one drop of lavender and one drop of geranium. Mix the four together and apply on the stomach and back. Keep the stomach warm with a hot water bottle while burping the baby. This will often bring relief.

Cradle Cap: Combine 2 tablespoons of almond oil and one drop of lemon with one drop of geranium. You can also mix in one drop of cedarwood or sandalwood, then apply a small amount (just a dab or two from your fingertip) on the head to relieve symptoms.
Diaper rash: Dilute lavender oil and apply.
Sluggish digestion: Use either lemon or orange oil. Dilute in equal part with almond or sunflower oil and massage on the feet and stomach.
As many parents prefer to use less chemicals and medications on their children, these treatments can naturally easy and soothe your child to allow them to rest easier, in turn allowing you to rest easier as well.
