Mulled Grape Juice
The combination of grapes, citrus and warming spices make this drink perfect for winter celebrations. This beverage is non-alcoholic and therefore child friendly, and is filled with powerful anti-oxidants to keep the immune system strong during colder weather.

Ingredients:
2 cups dark grape juice
2 cinnamon sticks
2 star anise
8 cardamom pods
8 cloves
4 slices fresh ginger
1 orange

Method:
In a medium sized saucepan, bring the dark grape juice to a gentle simmer. This quantity serves 2 - 4 people, and is quite concentrated, so you may wish to water it down.
Warming spices
Add the spices - I prefer to use fresh spice ingredients, however, you could also use powdered spices for convenience.
Add the spices to the grape juice
Juice the orange and add this to the simmering mixture.
Simmer the ingredients
After five minutes simmering, serve the mulled grape juice with or without the spices added. I prefer to leave the spices floating and you can chew on them after you've finished sipping.
