Quick Tip 93 Barley water
According to ancient
Ayurvedic tradition,
barley water is a great weight-loss drink.
Thought to 'reduce fat' and relieve 'swelling and water retention', you can enjoy both the water and the grain after cooking.

To make, heat
two litres of water and add a
cup of pearl barley, bringing to the boil. Reduce to a simmer and cook until the grains are soft and tender. Drain (reserving water), and drink plain or mixed with honey and lemon.

Barley water is best consumed
cold and within
three days of cooking.
